How 2 take it 4ward...???

We all heard Mr. Michael Ferreira speak about the face of integrity we want to admire and are yet to find it. He rightly said - The need is to find it inside you, the need is to be the change that you want to see in others - well, many of us either knew it earlier or at least we all know it now. At least some of us followed it earlier also - being courteous, honest n all.

My question is 'What Next?'. How to drive the change? How to make others see as i see it? Instead of trying to justify my virtues to my friends who see it as boring morale, how can I elucidate to them that our vision of a beautiful India can be realized by our little efforts? Nothing goes in vain. How can I instill confidence in them that every little step we take counts?

I stand puzzled...

  1. Hmm... very thought provoking post - made me think. I feel the fundamental problem you are alluding to is that of cynicism amongst people - the feeling that nothing can be done. This is a real problem and presents a big challenge to change. We must have faith in the possibility of a better future of we are to have any chance of acheivinng it. However I feel it is not completely intractible. Every now and then we see people not only hoping for a better future but actually acting to improve things. The question is how to leverage these individual endeavours and harness them to achieve a sort of "tipping point" that sets things in motion.

May be with time we'll find a clue. Hope to hear more about this from you in future

  2. @ Amit - Thanks for your response. Indeed, our faith shall keep us driving to look for the clue and shall keep alive our hopes for the tipping point for the amalgamation of the individual endeavours... :)

  3. Response from my dear friend Parker -

i read what you wrote about Michael Ferreira and i really loved to hear your thoughts. your questions are so valid and really important. i agree, it is one thing to have a perspective of wanting to change but doing it is a different story, and motivating others or becoming a collective group with others is also very difficult and sometimes complicated. especially in a vision for a beautiful India, when India
is so vast and people all have different thoughts about what 'integrity' really is.

how do you answer your own question? how do you let people know that every little step counts?

i find that if i were to answer i would say to be optimistic always and work hard, and that attitude will influence others. speak of it
when you can or when people notice there is something different about you. what do you think?

Thanks Parker for your invaluable opinions... :)
